Ingredients
DUMPLINGS
- 2 cans King Oscar Salmon in Olive Oil, oil reserved
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- About 16-18 dumpling wrappers
GINGER SOY DIP
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp minced or grated ginger
With store-bought dumpling wrappers, salmon and a few pantry staples, making dumplings at home is easier than you think.
Instructions
- If serving with ginger soy dip, combine water, soy sauce, brown sugar and ginger. Mix until brown sugar is dissolved. Set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together the salmon, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Place about 2 teaspoons of filling on each wrapper. Brush the edge of the wrapper with water, then fold in half and pinch edges to seal. Repeat until all dumplings are made.
- Heat pan on medium-high heat and add the reserved oil from the salmon can.
- Place dumplings flat side down in a single layer and cook for about 1-2 minutes or until the base is crispy (cook in batches if needed).
- Have a lid ready, then add about 2 teaspoons of water into the pan. Immediately place lid on top of pan.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and allow dumplings to cook/steam for about 2-3 minutes or until wrappers are soft and cooked.
- Allow to cool and serve with dip of choice.
