Kipper Snacks Crispy Wonton

Ingredients
- 1 can King Oscar Kipper Snacks in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, drained
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 4 stalks green onions
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt, or to personal preference
- Fresh cracked black pepper
- About 12 wonton wrappers
Creamy, cheesy, and just smoky enough, these crispy wonton cups make a tin of kipper snacks into an appetizer worth showing off.
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
- Press wonton wrappers into a muffin pan. Lightly spray wontons with oil.
- Bake wonton wrappers for about 5 minutes for them to be slightly cooked. Remove from oven.
- In a bowl combine the cream cheese, parmesan cheese (reserve some cheese to top the wontons), green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Stir in the kipper snacks and break the fillets into small chunks. Optional - reserve some chunks of kipper snacks to top the wontons.
- Divide the kipper snacks filling between the wonton wrappers. If some kipper snacks pieces were reserved, top the filled wonton wrappers with the pieces of kipper snacks.
- Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the wrappers are golden brown and filling is warm.
