Ingredients
- 1 can King Oscar Sardines in Zesty Tomato Sauce
- 1 6-8” wide flatbread
- 4-5 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Black pepper, to personal taste
- 1/4 cup basil leaves
- Salt, to personal taste
A caprese-inspired flatbread with zesty tomato sardines as the sauce, topped with creamy mozzarella, juicy fresh tomatos, Parmesan, and basil.
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 400°F.
- Pour zesty tomato sauce from sardine can over the flatbread and spread evenly.
- Lay slices of mozzarella and tomato over the sauced flatbread.
- Lay sardines over the flatbread. Smash your sardines a bit if you like.
- Top flatbread with parmesan cheese and black pepper.
- Bake flatbread for about 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and sardines are warm.
- Add basil leaves over the flatbread. Add additional salt and pepper, to personal taste.
