Ingredients

  • 1 can King Oscar Sardines in Zesty Tomato Sauce
  • 1 6-8” wide flatbread 
  • 4-5 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced  
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 
  • Black pepper, to personal taste
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves 
  • Salt, to personal taste 

A caprese-inspired flatbread with zesty tomato sardines as the sauce, topped with creamy mozzarella, juicy fresh tomatos, Parmesan, and basil.

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400°F. 
  2. Pour zesty tomato sauce from sardine can over the flatbread and spread evenly. 
  3. Lay slices of mozzarella and tomato over the sauced flatbread. 
  4. Lay sardines over the flatbread. Smash your sardines a bit if you like. 
  5. Top flatbread with parmesan cheese and black pepper. 
  6. Bake flatbread for about 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and sardines are warm. 
  7. Add basil leaves over the flatbread. Add additional salt and pepper, to personal taste.
